Cookies Policy

This policy explains how ESIM24 DIGITAL NETWORKS LTD (trading as eSIM24) uses cookies and similar storage on esim24.uk, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and UK GDPR.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored on your device by a website. We also use similar technologies such as the browser's localStorage for the shopping cart. Some cookies are strictly necessary for the service you ask for; UK PECR allows those without consent. Non-essential cookies (analytics, advertising) require consent. We do not currently set advertising or analytics cookies.

2. Cookies and storage we use

Strictly necessary

  • esim24_session — httpOnly session cookie after you sign in. It keeps you logged in and lets us show your wallet, orders, and eSIMs. Duration: session / token lifetime. Without it, checkout and the dashboard cannot work.
  • esim24-cart (localStorage, not a cookie) — stores plans you add to the bag on this device so the cart survives a refresh. You can clear it by emptying the cart or clearing site data in the browser.
  • esim24_cookie_notice (localStorage) — remembers that you dismissed this site's cookie notice so we do not show it on every page load.

Payment and sign-in providers

If you pay with Stripe, PayPal, or Revolut, or sign in with Google, those companies may set their own cookies on their domains when you are redirected. They are independent controllers for that processing. Read their cookie notices on stripe.com, paypal.com, revolut.com, and google.com.

3. What we do not use

We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising retargeting, or other non-essential tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where PECR requires it, ask for consent before setting them.

4. How to control cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie will sign you out and prevent account features. You can also use the ICO's guidance on cookies: ico.org.uk. For personal data processed via cookies, see the Privacy Policy.

5. Changes

We will update this page if we add, remove, or change cookies. The effective date is shown at the top.
